Finishing Planting April 25th 2017

ANZAC Day meant a day off work so I snuck out to the garlic patch and finished planting – all the “smalls” (code for – the little crappy ones), the single bulbs (like onions) and bulbils for future seed. The single bulbs will take two seasons to mature into a multi-clove bulb and the bulbils probably three seasons.

A bit of intermittent philosophising over a cuppa with Cam and Tony throughout the sunny afternoon added to the lovely day out there. I finished my planting, raking over the top of the cloves in the hole and leaving enough time to satisfy my gardeny urges by weeding the overgrown hothouse just before the last of the daylight disappeared.

God bless the anzacs.
