Organic Garlic Generation Two 2017

With three other ladies, keener than mustard, we’re growing seed from last year’s crop, still in Ballan but at a friend’s farm this time.

Cam and Ginny own In December last year, I approached them with the idea of me farming garlic somewhere on their 40 acres in 2017. They said yes!

Suddenly overwhelmed at the idea of doing it solo, I put the word out to see if anyone from last year’s Farmer Incubator program was interested in joining forces  (and were serious about growing) and I got three awesome people, already farmers to varying degrees, and up for the adventure.

Finally shit’s getting real. The farm manager, Tony, had already dug up seven rows of 50m each ready for a crop. All’s that was needed was someone to farm it.
