Today a few of the team headed out early to Ballan. And, like true farmers, we stopped off for relaxed times of coffee and vegie pasties before starting work at 9:30am.
The mulch was delivered by Andrew from local Ballan produce store Crossroads Trading. Big ups to Crossroads for the generous service and delivery. Champs.
Although the garlic shoots were already up, laying down the pea straw was pretty easy and we decided against watering it all with the promise of rain by early next week.
We were all done with enough time to head for a second meal at another fine establishment. Keeping it real , like the typical farmers we are, we shared a few devonshire teas and basked in our own glory at another local cafe – Thrifty Minx. Heaven.
Our comrades were with us in spirit. Here’s to everyone feeling better and working less soon – Adaline, Jose and Per.
